MRS BAKER – MY FAVORIT HAIRDRESSER
Today is Ingvar Kamprad’s 90th birthday. I am in a photostudio in Älmhult documenting an ikea bathroom for a web based project. And I am getting sentimental.
When I moved back to Sweden from England I started working at ikea in Älmhult as an art director. My portfolio was a mix of experimental college work from Central Saint Martins and work I had done for a number of musicians and book publishers. They hired me at face value.
Now days I am lucky to do consultancy work for ikea. And am forever grateful for all good this company has brought me.
